This Mantis Shrimp variation was developed by Capt. Joel Dickey from the Florida Keys for both Bonefish and Permit. According to a good client it works very well in Hawaii also, and I'll bet it would be very productive on Bonefish anywhere. It is a little more expensive than other flies of this type because of the materials used but well worth it. I have these in my Bonefish box.
The premium hook will be a Gamakatzu SL12S or SL11-3H, depending on the size.
I have had great luck on this fly when bones are mudding. I don't know...
