This fly is very productive for Striped Bass along the Mid Coast of Maine. It has a rattle which clicks when the fly is stripped. My guide, Stephen Hand of Flood Tide Outfitters asked if I could recreate it which I did. I caught a nice 10 - 12lb fish in the summer of 2026 on this exact fly. I do not know who originated it but will give them credit if I ever learn.
