This fly imitates the fruit that Pacu fish in South America eat when it falls into the rivers. This version is made from a approximately 1" foam cylinder, painted and finished with a gloss coat. It comes either with the hook inserted through the cork or with an articulated hook.
The foam must be cored and then shaped which if pretty labor intensive but it is somewhat heavier than the cork and makes a nice "plop" when it hits the water, imitating falling fruit.
