Fishing for Golden Dorado has become very popular, and the go to fly is the Andino Deceiver. Every fly in this collection was tied for a client, and cover the majority of the possible fishing conditions. There are so many I made a separate collection to make it more convenient for prospective customers to compare.
All flies in this collection are tied on premium saltwater hooks, mainly Owner Aki or Gamakatsu SL12 S
Generally speaking, it is the most productive to use flies with a lot of black and less flash for Golden Dorado. These are used mainly for conditions where the water is murky. Because of the difficulty in finding long black hackle, I can only tie flies with hackle tails to about 5" to 5 1/2". I can tie flies with SF Blend synthetic tails up to about 8". Hackle provides more motion in the water, but is less durable. Synthetics provide length and durability, but less action. If you are going to fish clear streams and rivers brighter, smaller Andino's work well.
